BioStrong offers a bone density test using modern technology developed by EchoLight called EchoS. The EchoS provides a bone density exam that utilizes proprietary R.E.M.S. (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry) technology. R.E.M.S. offers a non-invasive and radiation-free method to determine bone density.
The EchoS bone densitometry exam delivers an accurate bone density measurement. With it, you will know if you have healthy bone density, low bone density (osteopenia), or osteoporosis. Additionally, this scan provides information on the fragility of your bones and assesses your risk for fractures. While bone density has a direct correlation with fracture risk, fragility scores can vary regardless of bone density. Information regarding your fragility cannot be obtained through a DEXA scan.
